About Us

The Plainville Coalition for Positive Youth Development was established in 2004.  The Coalition is comprised of members representing a variety of local community organizations.  The Coalition also serves as the Local Prevention Council for the Substance Abuse Action Council.

Areas of Focus:

The Coalition leverages support for Plainville’s youth in three focus areas: 
1. Opportunities for Youth Beyond the School Day  
2. Community Connections for Kids
3. Community Awareness and Prevention

The mission of the Coalition is to promote a community environment that empowers children to positively shape their lives.
